FOLEY, AL (WLOX) –
The amusement park called OWA opened to the public in Foley, AL on Friday morning. It’s a $250 million development by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians on a 500-acre site.
The new park is only phase one.
OWA is open for business. Shortly after the first visitors made it past the ticket takers, the thrill ride screams echoed across the park.
Rides, like the Twister and of course the Rolling Thunder coaster, are the biggest draws among the 21 rides available.
